The professional exterminators at Avenge Pest Control understand Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore and Norman and the problems that fleas and ticks can cause for humans and pets. Our treatment programs cover the areas inside and outside your home.

On the outside, we first create a perimeter around your home using safe yet effective pesticides. Depending on the amount of foliage and greenery in your yard, we may increase the perimeter by treating a larger area.

On a first visit, we also treat the inside of your home to provide you with total protection against fleas, ticks and many other pests.

Most people won't feel a tick bite

Most humans won't notice a tick attached to them until they either see it or rub it.  They often wonder why they didn't feel the tick bite them.  According to the Tick Encounter Resource Center  this is because the tick secretes a small amount of pain killer in their saliva.

What to know about fleas

Even though the flea can't fly, it can jump about 8 inches, allowing it to move from host to host.

While there are more than 2,000 species of fleas, there is just one that is found most commonly on pets, it's called the cat flea.

Fleas are survivors, they can stay alive for around 100 days between meals.

Unfortunately, fleas can also transmit disease. They can carry the plague, tapeworms, typhus, and other diseases.
